1 Injured In Vernon Hills Crash

One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Vernon Hills Sunday evening, authorities said.

Countryside Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Ron Echtenacher said crews were called to the intersection of Route 45 and Buffalo Grove Road in Vernon Hills at about 9:25 p.m. for a crash with multiple injuries.

He said crews arriving on the scene found a two-vehicle crash involving four people with one that needed to be extracted from the vehicle.

Echtenacher said the person was extracted quickly and transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with unknown, nonlife-threatening injuries.

Countryside fire left the scene in about 45 minutes, Echtenacher said.
