112 MPH In 45 MPH Zone, Battery At Lake County Jail, More Crime
A Mundelein man being held on sex abuse charges was recently arrested for battery at the Lake County Jail, according to sheriff's reports.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's office responded to several crime incidents in recent days:
Saturday, Dec. 28
Reckless driving
A Carpentersville man was arrested Saturday at Lake Cook Road and Oak Ridge Lane in Deer Park after he was accused of driving 112 mph in a 45 mph zone, the Lake County Sheriff's office reported. Oscar Rocha, 19, of the 100 block of Birch Street in Carpentersville faces charges of reckless driving, aggravated speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle, according to a sheriff's office report. His bond was set at $1,500 (recognizance).

Thursday, Dec. 26
Battery at Lake County Jail
Breon Dixon, 39, of the 1400 block of Downing Place in Mundelein, was arrested on accusations of battery Thursday at the Lake County Jail, where he was being held on other charges, according to a sheriff's office report. His bond was set at $500,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 22, according to a report on the sheriff's office website.
According to the sheriff's office, Dixon was also previously arrested on July 2 at the above address on a warrant for reported aggravated criminal sexual abuse and unlawful restraint.

Bond for Drashaun L. Bowers, 30, of the 1300 block of Judge Place in Waukegan, was set at $200,000 in Lake County after he was arrested Thursday on a warrant for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, enhanced domestic battery, and failure to appear for disorderly conduct, according to the sheriff's office. His next court appearance is set for Jan. 15 in Lake County.
Wednesday, Dec. 25
Domestic Battery
Navjot Singh, 35, of the 18800 block of Wildflower Way in unincorporated Lake Villa, was arrested on Dec. 25 on accusations of domestic battery at the above address, the Lake County Sheriff's Office reported. Singh's bond was set at $20,000, and his court date was set for Thursday.
Tuesday, Dec. 24
DUI, endangering the life of a child
A Beach Park man was arrested on Dec. 24 in the 10300 block of W. Yale Avenue in Beach Park on accusations of DUI — alcohol, and child endangerment. The Lake County Sheriff's office reported 36-year-old Ricardo Ramirez-Ibarra, from the above address, faces charges of DUI — alcohol and endangering the life of a child, and his bond was set at $3,000 (recognizance). His court date is scheduled for Jan. 22 in Lake County.
