2 Injured In Motorcycle Crash Arrested On Warrants: Police

The man and woman had active warrants for their arrest at the time of the collision in Gurnee Thursday morning.

GURNEE, IL — A man and woman involved in a motorcycle crash in Gurnee Thursday morning have been arrested after authorities learned both were wanted on active warrants.

The collision happened when the driver, Wayne Milkulski, 44, was headed west on Grand Avenue at a high rate of speed before he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Rollins Road at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the Gurnee Police Department.

He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center. A passenger on the motorcycle, Kristin Teeter, 34, suffered some scrapes and injuries to her legs and was transported to a hospital for evaluation, according to a news release.

Authorities learned both Milkuslki and Teeter had active warrants for their arrest. And while investigating the collision, police also learned Milkulski had a modified firearm, possible narcotics and several fraudulent ID cards on him on the time of the crash, according to the mews release.

After both Teeter and Milkuski were released from the hospital, they were taken into custody and taken to the Lake County Jail.

Police in Gurnee are continuing to investigate the incident.
