Accused Murderer Leads Police On High-Speed Chase In Lake County
The chase started in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and ended in Waukegan. Tyshawn B. Ridgeway, 19, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, was arrested.

A suspect in a murder was taken into custody after he led police on a high-speed chase from Kenosha, Wisconsin into Lake County, ending in Waukegan early Friday morning, authorities said.
The Kenosha, Wisconsin Police Department responded around 12:30 a.m. Friday to the 2000 block of 89th Street for a report of a shooting.

Kenosha Police Department Sgt. Leo Viola told Kenosha News that officers responded to the apartment building and found an 18-year-old shot and killed.
Officers pursued a vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Tyshawn B. Ridgeway, as it fled the scene of the shooting.

The suspect vehicle drove southbound on Lewis Avenue into Lake County and the pursuit went through Zion and Beach Park.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Staff Anthony Vega confirmed that the sheriff’s office responded to assist in the pursuit.
Ridgeway and a female passenger were taken into custody after his vehicle suffered two flat tires near Butrick Street and Pine Street in Waukegan.

Ridgeway was charged by prosecutors in Lake County with fugitive from justice.
A Lake County judge ordered the man held in the Lake County Jail on a $1 million bond. An extradition hearing is scheduled for May 18.
Wisconsin court records show that the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office charged Ridgeway with second degree recklessly endangering safety and vehicle operator fleeing to elude police, both felony charges.
Prosecutors have not yet filed murder charges against the man, whose home address is in the 2000 block of 89th Street in Kenosha, which is the same location where the fatal shooting occurred.
