Back to School Bash, Final 'Out to Lunch' of Summer and More

What are your plans for the weekend?

Are you looking for something to do this weekend?

There's plenty to do in and around Libertyville. There's the final Out to Lunch of the season on Friday, for example. Or if you want to venture out of town, Grayslake will hold its annual Summer Days Friday and Saturday.

The weather should be perfect for whatever you plan to do, with nothing but sunny skies and upper-80s temperatures in the forecast.

Here's a look at some events coming up this weekend:

Farewell, Summer!

Not sure where the summer went, but this is a sure sign that the season is nearly over. MainStreet Libertyville will hold its final Out to Lunch event of the year from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16. Entertainment will be provided by The Mojo Daddies.

Antiques and More at Libertyville Garage Sale

A garage sale will be held Aug. 16-17 t 1009 Springhaven Drive. Items for sale will include antiques, a white wicker couch and McCoy pottery.

'Dancing with the Stars in Grayslake'

Grayslake will hold its annual Summer Days Aug. 16-17, featuring a carnival, business booths, bingo and, of course, the Summer Days Parade. Check out the full schedule here.

Back to School in Style

Gurnee Mills will host a "Back At It" event from 3-5 p.m. Aug. 17, featuring giveaways, a back-to-school runway show and more. The event will take place in the mall's new full-price wing, which features a full-line Macy's department store.

Back to School Bash

Some Libertyville moms are holding a Back to School Bash at Lake Minear from 1-3 p.m. Aug. 18. The event is open to all incoming sixth-graders from Highland Middle School.
