Battery At Lake County Jail, Other Crime Reports: Sheriff

Lake County Sheriff's office crime reports for part of January 2020.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's office responded to the following crime incidents reported during the third week of January 2020:

Warrant arrest: Unlawful possession

Luis G. Medina, 40, of the 1000 block of S Wellington Road in Waukegan, was arrested on Jan. 21 where he lives on a warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. His bond is listed as (10 percent of) $500,000 and his court date is scheduled for Feb. 20.

Illegal transportation of alcohol, other driving offenses

Alan J. Dufield, 37, of the 0-100 block of Hackney Lane in Lindenhurst, was arrested on Jan. 21 at Washington Street and Fieldale Lane in Third Lake, on accusations of driving while license revoked (enhanced), reckless driving, illegal transportation of alcohol, no Insurance, and leaving the scene of a crash. His bond is listed as (10 percent of) $200,000 and his court date is scheduled for Jan. 30, according to the sheriff's office website.

Battery at the Lake County jail

Divante Williams-Coleman, 28, of the 2300 block of Salem Blvd. in Zion is being accused of battery on Jan. 21 while being held on other charges at the Lake County jail. His court date is listed as Feb. 10.

Warrant arrest: DUI, violation of an order of protection

Patrick McCann, 49, of the 3000 block of Green Bay Road in North Chicago, was arrested on Jan. 21 on a warrant for DUI — alcohol and violation of an order of protection (failure to appear). His bond is listed as 10 percent of $350,000, and his court date is scheduled for Feb. 21, according to the sheriff's office website.

Warrant arrest: Aggravated battery

Michael Zalewski, 35, of the 1500 block of N. Lakeshore Drive in Round Lake, was arrested on Jan. 23 on a warrant arrest for aggravated battery at Oak Street and Nielsen Drive in Round Lake. His bond was set at 10 percent of $150,000, and his court date is scheduled for Feb. 10.
