Beatles-Themed Concert In The Plaza Scheduled For Tuesday Canceled
The weekly concert series at Independence Grove will take place Aug. 23 after officials canceled the show following Monday's mass shooting.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A concert featuring a Beatles tribute band that was to have taken place on Tuesday night in Libertyville has been postponed until a later date a day after Monday’s mass shooting in Highland Park.
The Lake County Forest Preserves announced that the scheduled Concert In the Plaza event that was to have taken place Tuesday at Independence Grove Forest Preserve has been rescheduled for Aug. 23, officials said.
“Our hearts are with all of those impacted by the tragic event that took place in Highland Park and we understand the importance of solidarity during this difficult time,” officials announced in a news release on Tuesday.

The concert was to have featured Kaleidoscope Eyes as part of the weekly concert series. The next scheduled event is set for July 12 and will feature the Pete Kilpatrick Band.
