Buffalo Grove Stampede Wins Gator Cup Tournament
Stampede Hockey off to a strong start to the 2013-2014 season: Wins 2013 Gator Cup Fall Classic Hockey Tournament in West Dundee.
The Buffalo Grove Stampede Varsity Hockey Team won the 2013 Gator Cup Hockey Tournament this weekend.
The Stampede was tied much of the game Sunday against the Barrington Broncos. The game, held at the Leafs Ice Center in West Dundee, went into overtime play.Â
The Stampede put one in the net, and Buffalo Grove took home first place.
The 2013 Gator Cup Fall Classic Hockey Tournament was hosted by Crystal Lake South Hockey Club, the "Gators."
24 high school hockey teams participated in the tournament, which serves as a season opener for many of the teams.Â
Carmel Catholic High School won the junior varsity championship.
