Community Garden Plants Itself at The Chapel

Got a green thumb and nowhere to grow? Libertyville Gardens community garden has plots for lease at its new home outside The Chapel.

The Chapel of Libertyville and Gardeners of Central Lake County have partnered with the Village of Libertyville to create the Libertyville Gardens.

The gardens are open to anyone willing to tend the plot within the parameters of the garden agreement and pay the annual plot fee. The planting season runs from April-Nov. 15.

According to a recent story in the Libertyville Review, The Chapel may build a gazebo structure with picnic tables for the gardeners while officials are considering creation of a farmer’s stand at the Libertyville Sports Complex.
