Coronavirus In Lake County: 7 New Deaths, 337 New Cases
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Lake County to 3,091, including 114 deaths, the health department said on April 27.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Health Department reported Monday seven new deaths due to the coronavirus and 337 additional cases of the coronavirus since Friday in Lake County. This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Lake County to 3,091, including 114 deaths, according to health officials.
The seven new deaths reported include:
- One man in his 50s
- Two women in their 70s
- One man in his 80s
- Two men and one woman in their 90s
The Health Department is investigating 30 long-term care facilities in the county that have two or more positive cases, a news release from the health department said. These 30 facilities have a combined total of 486 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 71 deaths, health officials added.

"I want to personally thank everyone in Lake County who has gone out of their way to stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying home, wearing face coverings, practicing social distancing, and routinely washing their hands," Lake County Health Department Executive Director Mark Pfister said, in the news release. "Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Please continue to follow the Governor's executive order."

- Mundelein: 100 to 104
