Coronavirus In Lake County: Resources, Utility Updates
Local utility companies are offering programs and payment plans for those who need it, according to Lake County officials.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — Lake County officials are sharing information on local companies and resources as many people and families face financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to a news release, local utility companies, including ComEd, North Shore Gas, and Lake County Public Works, have suspended disconnects during this time.
In addition, the companies are offering programs and payment plans for those who need it, according to the news release.
Among the ways community members are currently assisting others are free breakfast and lunch to children who need it. Lake County schools are offering these meals, and an interactive map will provide location information and other details.
