Coronavirus: Mundelein Mayor Issues Mask, Facial Covering Order

Here's when the Executive Order regarding facial coverings in Mundelein goes into effect.

MUNDELEIN, IL — Anyone visiting or working at essential businesses open to the public in Mundelein will be required to wear face coverings or masks beginning Thursday. That's according to an Executive Order issued Tuesday by Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz, which will remain in effect until further notice, the Village of Mundelein reported. Grocery stores, pharmacies and other essential businesses in Mundelein are now able to refuse service to those not wearing facial covering, the Village added.

However, residents don't need to cover their faces while in their cars, homes or when outdoors, according to the Village.

This order is consistent with CDC guidelines recommending everyone wear cloth face coverings in public where other physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
