Coroner IDs Mundelein Woman Killed In House Fire
The woman found dead inside a home in the 1200 block of Huntington Drive Sunday has been identified as Alicia Bowles, 77.
MUNDELEIN, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified a 77-year-old Mundelein woman who was found dead in a home following a fire Sunday evening as Alicia Bowles.
Preliminary results from an autopsy are pending further medical studies, including toxicology testing to determine carbon monoxide levels, according to the coroner's office.
Fire crews were called to the scene of the blaze in the 1200 block of Huntington Drive at about 5:20 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived at the scene, they found smoke showing.

After the fire was extinguished, Bowles' body was found inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's office.
The cause of the fire and Bowles' death remains under investigation.
