Des Plaines River Bridge Closed As Roadwork Gets Underway

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Work is underway to replace the Oak Spring Road Bridge over the Des Plaines River.

The Libertyville Township Road District started work on the bridge in early July. Oak Spring Road will be closed at the Des Plaines River crossing through the summer of 2025, according to a news release from the village of Libertyville.

Drivers needing to cross the Des Plaines River in this area should head to Route 176 (Park Avenue). More information and updates on the project can be found online.
