Driver Seriously Injured In Libertyville Crash: Police

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A driver suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Libertyville Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A black pick-up truck driving in the 200 block of Pond Ridge Road ran into several mailboxes and went off the road before coming to a stop in a yard next to a home at about 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department.

The driver — who was the only person inside the vehicle — was take to Advocate Condell Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, police said.

The cause of the crash is not yet known and is being investigated by the local police.
