Elderly Woman Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash
The collision happened Wednesday afternoon in North Chicago.
NORTH CHICAGO, IL — A 86-year-old Zion woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in North Chicago Wednesday afternoon.
The woman has been identified as Patricia Lord. Results from an autopsy show she died from blunt force injuries to the head, neck and chest as a result of a crash, according to a news release.
The collision happened on Green Bay Road and Saratoga Street at about 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. Both drivers in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.

The elderly woman was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
