Elizabeth A. "Betty" Croonborg Loved Antiquing, Chicago Sports

A private service will be held for Elizabeth A. "Betty" Croonborg of Libertyville.

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Croonborg, 95, passed away on Wed. March 13, 2013 at Advocate Condell Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 19, 1917 in North Chicago and was a Libertyville resident for most of her life. Betty was a graduate of Highland Park HS and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville. She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed antiquing and her Irish heritage. She was still driving at 95 and was an avid Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan.

Surviving are her daughters, Peggy (Max) Sanders of Grayslake and Carol (Ron) Poteracki of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren, Shane and Brennan (Rebecca) Sanders, Erin Salter, Gail (Bart) Perry, Michael and Matt Poteracki; six great grandchildren, Gray, Max, Jake, Kendall, Karter and Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1999.

A private service for her family will be held on Monday, March 16, 2013 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville, with Father John Hennessey, officiating. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Assn. Info: 847-362-3009.
