Varicose veins don’t discriminate: They can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, size, age or other variables. Painful and unsightly, varicose veins also can be an indicator of more serious health issues.
A lecture by Advocate Condell physician Shayle Patzik, MD, a board certified interventional radiologist, will focus on treatments – many of which are covered by insurance – offered at the Vascular Center at Advocate Condell, which has the latest laser technology. Following a question and answer session, complimentary non-diagnostic varicose vein screenings will be available to the first 24 registered attendees.
Check-in for the program is at 6 pm on Wednesday, March 7, in Advocate Condell’s West Tower, 801 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. The lecture begins at 6:30, with screenings taking place on a first-come, first–served basis starting at 7 pm.
