Family Pet Injured In Libertyville House Fire

The blaze broke out Saturday morning at a home in the 700 block of Liberty Bell Lane, according to fire officials.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A pet was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital for treatment following a house fire in Libertyville Saturday morning.

The blaze broke out at about 10:20 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of Liberty Bell Lane, according to a new release. When fire crews arrived at the home they found heavy smoke coming from the residence.

The fire was reported extinguished at about 11 a.m. No residents or firefighters were injured in the blaze, and a family pet was taken to an emergency veterinary hospital for treatment, according to fire officials.
