Family Of Woman, 28, Found On Hospital Roof Searches For Answers
The woman died at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan on Thursday night, authorities said.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The family of a 28-year-old woman who died after her body was found on the roof of a hospital is grieving and searching for answers into what caused the woman's death, authorities said.
Chelsea Adolphus, 28, was admitted to Vista Medical Center East on Tuesday and was later reported missing from the hospital. At about 8:45 a.m. Thursday, she was found unresponsive on the roof of the hospital, authorities said.
Adolphus was moved to the hospital's emergency room where she received treatment. She died 14 hours later, according to a statement from the Lake County Coroner's Office.

Sources told Fox 32 Chicago Adolphus may have wandered to the roof in a confused state due to a medical condition. Family is searching for answers following the tragedy, and questioning why no one at the hospital knew where she was and let her go missing.
"I’m just 100 percent I don’t think it’s fair that my sister came to a facility that is supposed to be safe and they end up being the one causing the death of my sister," Paul Adolphus, Chelsea’s brother, told Fox 32 Chicago.

The incident is being investigated by the Waukegan Police Department and the Lake County Coroner's Office, authorities said Friday. More details are expected to be released Monday
Family said Chelsea was staying in a room at the hospital when she went missing. She was wearing a hospital gown when she was found on the roof in frigid temperatures, according to media reports.
"I'm hurt. I'm sad," Yolanda Adolphus told ABC 7. "I want answers. Answers to know what happened to my daughter."
