Filming To Start Soon For Another Rom-Com In Downtown Libertyville
"Christmas at the Zoo" is coming to downtown Libertyville.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL â A made-for-television romantic comedy, "Christmas at the Zoo," will film in downtown Libertyville in coming weeks.
CATZ Production LLC requested permission from the village to allow filming at various locations and inside and outside various businesses in Libertyville between Dec. 15 and 21, according to village documents. CATZ filmed "Exes of Christmas Past," which was released on Nov. 1, in Libertyville in April.
Producers with "Christmas at the Zoo" have requested access to the following area in downtown Libertyville:

- Monday, Dec. 15: Sidewalk, easement, street parking on the east side of 500 to 542 N. Milwaukee. From 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. there will be "rolling sidewalk closures." Cook Park, walkways, grass areas for 1 to 2 hours in the morning âNO closure of Cook Park, Wild Moon Collective and La Villa Lofts (inside and parking).
- Tuesday, Dec. 16: Sidewalk, easement, street parking near Wild Moon Collective (Inside, all Day, no sidewalk closures)
- Wednesday, Dec. 17: 355 N. Milwaukee Ave, street parking (inside of Conscious Cup, no sidewalk closures however right of way filming).
- Saturday, Dec. 20: Sidewalk, easement, street parking around La Village Lofts on N. Milwaukee Ave. (no sidewalk closures)
- Sunday, Dec. 21: 150 Broadway St. (private residence- on-street parking use north and south side of Broadway, sidewalk and alley)
The crew for "Christmas at the Zoo" will include approximately 35 people and 5 to 20 extras, according to village documents.
Most of the scenes will take place inside the businesses, but there will be some footage taken outside the businesses and on the sidewalks. During filming, rolling closures to the sidewalks will occur and signs to direct pedestrians on where to go will be provided.

Parking immediately in front of the businesses where filming will occur on Milwaukee will be impacted during filming as well.
Cook Park and the Cook Park sign will be shown in the film, the film will feature the villageâs logo at the end, and it will list Libertyville as an official filming location, according to village officials.
