Grayslake Man Exposes Himself Outside Shopping Center: Police
According to police, two women reportedly saw a car following them, and saw that a man inside the car was exposing his genitals.
GURNEE, IL — A Grayslake man was arrested after Gurnee police officers were called to the 6500 block of Grand Avenue just before 1 p.m., July 19, for reports of a man exposing himself in the parking lot at that address, according to an investigation by the Gurnee Police Department. David N. Mayhugh, 30, of Grayslake, is facing misdemeanor public indecency charges stemming from accusations he exposed himself to two women who were walking outside a shopping center.
According to a release from the police department, the women were walking on a shopping center sidewalk when they noticed a car following them, and then reportedly saw that a man was exposing his genitals, the investigation revealed. Police said the women quickly went to a nearby store and asked for the employees to call the police
The car was described as small, and had government-issued license plates, according to police. Gurnee officers arrived and found the man — later identified as Mayhugh — sitting inside his car at a nearby parking lot, according to the release. According to the release, Mayhugh was fully clothed and his genitals weren't exposed when police found him.

Police said the victims were able to positively identify the man as the one who reportedly exposed himself to them.
