Gurnee Police Search For Suspects In Shooting

GURNEE, IL — The Gurnee Police Department is investigating a report of shots fired.
Authorities responded to the incident at about 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Avenue and Pine Grove Avenue, according to a Gurnee Police Department news release. When police arrived at the scene, the shooter, or shooters had left the scene.
Nearby businesses and schools were placed on lockdown while authorities investigated the incident. Several rounds were found at the scene and a K9 unit was called to help with the investigation and to track the offenders.

Police did not find the shooters, and the lockdowns were lifted at noon, according to the news release.
