Happy Birthday Libertyville Patch!

I feel privileged that for the past year, residents and readers have shared their stories and lives with me — that’s my favorite part of the job and journalism.

Through the year, I have met many wonderful people and am always grateful when they help improve Libertyville Patch. For example, there were readers who helped me put names to faces at an event, . Village officials were helpful during the storm, but in severe weather situations, residents on the streets have the best firsthand knowledge, and I would not have been able to know where trees were down without readers’ help.

People don’t have to share their lives or stories with Libertyville Patch, but they do and I am grateful that they also think it’s important to document and share what’s going on around the community.

So thank you all for your input on Libertyville Patch, and I look forward to hearing more stories around Libertyville!
