Multiple people called 911 to report the fire and police officers arrived on the scene first and reported the house was fully involved in flames.
One occupant was home at the time of the fire and they were able to escape before firefighters arrived, according to Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Bureau Chief of Training Heidi Olsen.

Firefighters arrived in six minutes to find flames and smoke coming from the two-story single-family residence.
The sole occupant suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Olsen said the attached garage was fully engulfed in flames.
The incident was upgraded through the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS) to bring additional fire departments to the scene.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack and reduced the radiant heat to nearby homes, which sustained minimal damage, Olsen said.
The home sustained heat, water and smoke damage. Half of the home collapsed to the ground.
The entire residence was declared uninhabitable, Olsen said. Damage to the structure and contents is estimated at $320,000.
Animal control responded to the scene to help search for a family dog that was reported missing after running away from the burning home.
The dog is a black mixed-breed female named Jasmine, according to a lost dog flyer.
There were no injuries to any firefighters. Olsen said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
