Lake Co. Democrats Hold Musk, Trump Protest At Libertyville Dealership

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — More than 300 people gathered outside the Tesla dealership in Libertyville Friday to protest the recent actions of Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

"More and more people are alarmed and outraged by Musk and Trump, whether it's hurting veterans, threatening Social Security, or their other extreme right-wing antics," said Lauren Beth Gash, chair for the Lake County Democrats. "Today's demonstration sends the message loud and clear to Musk, Trump, and cowardly Republican politicians all over: what Musk and Trump are doing is not OK, and voters will not forget."

The Lake County Democrats organized the protest and have been active on many other political fronts lately, according to a news release from the Lake County Democrats. They have been working to get out the vote in Wisconsin to help defeat Elon Musk's Supreme Court candidate in a race that will affect people all across the country.

They are also working to inform voters about right-wing candidates in Lake County, and providing opportunities for voters to interact with their elected officials, according to the news release.

Friday's protest at the Libertyville Tesla dealership is the second in a month at the Libertyville dealership. During the gathering in late February, more than 550 people braved cold temperatures Saturday to join the protest organized by Lake County Democrats.
