Lake County Motorcyclist Killed In Crash

BEACH PARK, IL — A 56-year-old Beach Park man was killed in a Friday night crash in Beach Park, police said.

The collision happened when a 2007 Suzuki GSXR600 was headed south on Green Bay Road at an "excessively fast speed" and hit a 2022 Kia Rio, which was making a left turn from northbound Green Bay Road onto westbound Chaplin Street, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 56-year-old Beach park man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Kia, a 28-year-old Beach Park man, and a passenger in the Kia, a 23-year-old Beach Park woman, were both not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
