LHS Student Named to Tribune's All-State Academic Team

Libertyville High School Senior Richard Pan is one of 10 Illinois high school students to be named to the Chicago Tribune's 2013 All-State Academic Team.

Pan, who scored a perfect 36 on the ACT and has a 4.7 GPA, is also a member of his school's debate and math teams and works at Kumon Learning Center in Mundelein, reported the Tribune.

Last September, Pan was named a National Merit Scholarship Program semi-finalist, reported Patch.

In Dec. 2011, Pan was on the first-place winning team at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's annual "OP"portunity Science Conference, reported Patch.
