LIBERTYVILE, IL – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Libertyville so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store during the week of July 4th in Libertyville:

Libertyville Village Band concert and fireworks

• Where: Butler Lake Park, 500 Lake Street
• When: 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, July 4
• Event details: Free admission

Mundelein Community Days

• Where: Kracklauer Park, 100 N. Seymour Avenue
• When: Thursday, July 4 to Sunday, July 7; fireworks (free) are 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4

Vernon Hills Fourth of July

• Where: Parade route; fireworks fun at Century Park
• When: Thursday, July 4; parade at 9 a.m., Big Fun Band and fireworks fun from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (free) are 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4
• Event details

Lake Zurich Independence Day

• Where: Paulus Park, 200 South Rand Road
• When: Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, July 4; Paulus Park and beach open at 10 a.m.
• Event details: Residents, beach pass holders 18 and older $2; bring a valid driver’s license for proof of residency; non-residents 4 and older $7. Taste of the Summer, beer tent, kid's petting zoo, rides, inflatables, $10 wristband for unlimited rides and entrance to petting zoo, live entertainment, larger fireworks displays than past years, and more.
