Libertyville Man Arrested on Child Porn Charge
Police searched his home Thursday and found evidence.
A Libertyville man was snared recently in a Lake County investigation designed to catch online traders in child porn. Brian Schmitz, 34, faces three counts of possessing child pornography. He was arrested Thursday at his home, where police found evidence he’d downloaded child porn, and bail was set Friday at $200,000. He could get 15 years in prison if convicted. Libertyville and Round Lake Beach police participated in the investigation.
