A Libertyville man said he took a chance on the Emerald Green 7s instant ticket because his mother favors it.
A Libertyville man is $250,000 richer after winning big on the Illinois Lottery's Emerald Green 7s instant scratch-off ticket on May 5.
Bassem Kardoush told the Lake County News-Sun it was first time he bought this particular instant ticket, which was just introduced in March, because his mother likes the game.
