Libertyville Schools: Important Dates to Remember
When does school start in Libertyville District 70 and at Libertyville High School?

School starts in just a few weeks, and there are many important dates for parents to remember.Â
Here's a look at some items you may want to mark on your calendar:
Libertyville Elementary District 70
- Aug. 8: Supply pick-up at Rockland, 4-6 p.m.; Kindergartner and new family tour at Rockland, 6-6:30 p.m.; and New Family Orientation at Rockland, 6-6:30 p.m.
- Aug. 9-10: Help build a section of the new playground at Copeland Manor School, from 5-7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 10.
- Aug. 12: Fall preview for parents and students to walk through Highland Middle School, 8 a.m. until noon.
- Aug. 13: Fall preview for parents and students to walk through Highland Middle School, 4-8 p.m.
- Aug. 14: Supply drop-off at Butterfield School, 9 a.m. to noon.
- Aug. 14: New family orientation at Copeland Manor, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; New family orientation at Adler Park School, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Aug. 15: New family meeting at Butterfield School, 9-10 a.m.
- Aug. 20: First grade meet and greet at Copeland Manor School, 11-11:45 a.m.; first grade supply drop-off at Adler, 2-2:30 p.m.
- Aug. 21: Classes begin for all students.
Libertyville High School
- Aug. 14: Fall sports practices begin; Freshman orientation
- Aug. 17: Picture day for football, cheerleading and poms.Â
- Aug. 20: Freshman Parent Athletic Association, 6 p.m.
- Aug. 20: Back to school dance, 7 p.m.
- Aug. 21: Classes begin for students.
