Libertyville Water and Sewer Rates Increasing

Fees to increase May 1.

The Libertyville Village Board approved several rate increases, including rates for water and sewer at its April 23 meeting.

The bi-monthly water service charge will increase $1.20 from $27.20 to $28.40, while a supplemental fee for water usage in excess of 4,000 gallons will increase 30-cents per additional 1,000 gallons.

The bi-monthly sewer service charge will increase $1.40 from $18.20 to $20.20.

Rate increases were also approved for water meter installation and ambulance transportation. The rate increases are expected to go into effect May 1.

Trustees also adopted the 2013-14 budget, which is balanced and reflects revenues of $56.6 million and expenditures of $52.3 million. See a PDF of the budget here.
