Libertyville Woman Accused Of Punching Police, More Crime Reports
Libertyville police officers responded to crime incidents reported in the last two weeks.

Aggravated battery to police officer
Libertyville police officers were called to the 300 block of W. Winchester Road in Libertyville at 10:24 p.m. Feb. 19 for a domestic argument, where police met two females at the apartment building. While police were investigating, 25-year-old Jenna Ivers, from the same address, is accused of pushing and punching officers at the while she was holding her baby. Ivers was arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department, where she was processed and then taken to the Lake County jail in Waukegan for a bond hearing, facing charges of aggravated battery to police officer (two counts), endangering the life/health of a child, resisting a police officer and obstructing a police officer.

In-state warrant
At 6:55 a.m. on Feb. 27, George D. Buss, of the 200 block of Appley Avenue in Libertyville, turned himself in to officers at the Libertyville Police Department on an active warrant out of Dekalb County, for failure to appear on a DUI charge. Buss, 23, was arrested once police confirmed the warrant was valid, and processed Buss. He posted $375.00 cash and bailed out, and was issue a court date of April 8 in Dekalb County.

Driving under the influence/traffic offenses
A Libertyville police officer saw a car following his squad car too closely at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, while out conducting a routine patrol on Peterson Road near Cass Avenue. The officer saw additional traffic violations as the car continued west on Route 137, and the officer then pulled the car over in the area of Route 137, west of Bull Creek Drive. The driver was identified as Bianca G. Atilano, 24, from the 900 block of Warrior Street in Round Lake Heights. Police saw several signs of impairment while interacting with the woman, and asked her to perform a series of field sobriety tests. Based on the results of the tests, Atilano was arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed and cited for DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, DUI, following too closely, speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. Atilano was released after posting her driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond with a court date scheduled for March 20 in Lake County.
