Man, 19, Critically Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash
The collision happened in Wadsworth early Sunday. The driver, who is also 19 years old, sustained minor injuries.
WADSWORTH, IL — A 19-year-old man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle collision in Wadsworth early Sunday, police said.
The collision happened at about 4:15 a.m. when a Dodge Ram 1500, driven by a 19-year-old man from Kenosha, Wisconsin, was headed north on Route 41 and approaching Kelly Road when it went off a curve, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
The Dodge went off the road and hit a light pole before driving into a ditch. It then went airborne and hit two trees before landing on the driver's side, according to a news release.

The driver and passenger, a 19-year-old man from Kenosha, Wisconsin, became trapped inside the truck, and were extricated by firefighters. The passenger was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver sustained minor injuries, according to the news release. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
