Man, 24, Fatally Shot In Beach Park Homicide: Police

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects accused of killing a man in Beach Park over the weekend.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office was called to the 39300 block of Melbourne Court in Beach Park at about 12:10 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

A person calling 911 reported seeing two Black men, who are believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, running from the scene. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found several spent shell casings on the road along with shattered glass from a car.

Deputies learned a short time later a car was taken to Vista Medical Center where the shooting victim was left with the vehicle, police said.

The 24-year-old Waukegan man was pronounced dead a short time later.
