Man, 28, Killed In Great Lakes Crash: Authorities
The man killed in the collision has been identified as Makaio Bartley, who is currently stationed at the Naval Station Great Lakes.
GREAT LAKES, IL — A 28-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle collision in Great Lakes Sunday night.
The man killed in the collision has been identified as Makaio Bartley, who is currently stationed at the Naval Station Great Lakes. Preliminary results from an autopsy show Bartley, who is originally from California, died from blunt force injuries as a result of a crash.
The collision happened at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday when a 2018 Honda Civic collided on Ziegemeir Street. Emergency personnel responded and found Bartley unresponsive in the vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's office.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
