1 In Custody In Road Rage Stabbing: Police

A 57-year-old man was injured in the incident in Mundelein Wednesday evening and a 59-year-old man has been arrested.

MUNDELEIN, IL — A man is expected to survive after he was stabbed in a road rage incident in Mundelein Wednesday evening, police said.

The Mundelein Police Department responded to incident, which happened in the area of Route 176 and Joice Lane at about 7:30 p.m., according to a news release from the police department.

A 57-year-old man who was apparently stabbed in his chest was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery, according to the news release. Police identified a 59-year-old man as the suspect in the stabbing and found him at his home, authorities said.

He's been arrested and criminal charges are pending, authorities said.
