LIBERTYVILLE, IL — An elderly Libertyville Township man the Lake County Sheriff's Office said was reported missing and endangered by his family Sunday afternoon has been found. While patrolling in Libertyville Sunday, a Libertyville Police Department officer recognized 64-year-old Chiu Wah Ng, of the 16300 block of West Arlington Drive, from a law enforcement bulletin issued earlier that day, walking on a sidewalk in the 400 block of Milwaukee Avenue just after 7 p.m., the sheriff's department said. The police officer spoke with Ng and was able to confirm it was him, and worked with sheriff’s office detectives to reunite Ng with his family, a sheriff's office release said.

Ng hadn't been seen by his family since 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20 after he left his residence following an argument with a family member, and was reported missing by his family Sunday afternoon, the sheriff's office said.

He was last seen wearing a red windbreaker, and was described as an intellectually disabled man, 5'6", 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the release. The sheriff's office added that Ng speaks very little English and primarily speaks Cantonese.
