Missing Mundelein Teen Last Seen July 1 In Palatine: Sheriff

The sheriff's office said the teen may be in the Lemont area, with another missing 17-year-old, who is documented as missing out of Chicago.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s help in locating what officials said is a missing endangered female teen. According to the sheriff's office, Elizabeth C. Bocaniciu, 17, of the 26200 block of North Acorn Lane, unincorporated Mundelein, was last seen at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 1 (2019), at a friend’s home in the 1300 block of North Whitewater Lane, Palatine.

The sheriff's office said Bocaniciu may be in the Lemont area, with another missing 17-year-old, who is documented as missing out of Chicago.

Bocaniciu and the other missing girl recently colored their hair blue. Bocaniciu is described as being 5’2' and 170 pounds, with hazel eyes, and a natural hair color of brown, the sheriff's office reported.

The sheriff's office said if you see Bocaniciu, or have any information of her current whereabouts, please dial 911.
