Paving Project to Cause Delays on Routes 21 and 137 Starting Sept. 30
Paving of the northbound lanes of Route 21 and westbound lanes of Route 137 is set to start Sept. 30.

Major traffic delays can be expected on Routes 21 and 137 next week as various paving work is completed.
Weather permitting, paving of the northbound lanes of Route 21 and westbound lanes of Route 137 is set to begin Sept. 30, according to the IL Rte 21 and 137 Project website.
The schedule, according to IDOT, includes:
- Day 1 (9/30/13): Northbound lanes one and two of IL 21 will be paved from Brookhill Road to just north of IL 137. Paver will then be moved to the south end of project (south of Finstad Drive)
- Day 2 (10/1/13): Northbound lanes one and two of IL 21 will be paved from the south project limits to just south of IL 137. Paver will be then moved to the west end of project limits on IL 137.
- Day 3 (10/2/13): Westbound lanes one and two of IL 137 will be paved from west project limits to east project limits. Paver will cross the intersection around 11 a.m. After completing paving on IL 137, paver will be disassembled and moved to north of Brookhill Road to begin paving of northbound lanes one and two of IL 21 from Brookhill Road to north end of project.
