Redman met the boy online and had been in contact with him for a few years, according to the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office.

The two would use social media and apps to talk, as well as a disposable phone which Redman got to the victim via another student, police said.

Redman traveled to the victim’s home in Woodstock on August 2 in an Uber during the early morning hours.

The teen left his parents a note stating that he traveled to New York City with a woman named Jessica. He also factory reset his phone and left it at home.

The two traveled back to Pennsylvania on a plane and authorities located the boy later that same day in Beaver County at Redman’s residence.

However, Redman was not at the address. The boy was safe and reunited with his family.

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office arrested Redman on September 16 at a home in the 2900 block of Versailles Street in McKeesport, PA.

Redman was held in the Allegheny County jail and was finally extradited to the McHenry County jail on January 19.

Detectives found three screenshots on Redman’s phone that showed the victim in a sexually-explicit nature.

A judge ordered the woman held on a $120,000 bond. She will need to post $12,000 to be released.

A preliminary hearing on the new charges has been set for February 24.
