Police Believe Foul Play Linked To Man's Disappearance

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A 51-year-old Lake County man is missing, and authorities suspect foul play may be linked to his disappearance, police told Patch Thursday.

Ruslan Furman, of the 16500 block of North Route 83 in unincorporated Mundelein, has not been seen for more than a week, Christopher Covelli, a deputy chief with the Lake County Sheriff's Office, told Patch.

Covelli said detectives believe foul could be "linked to his disappearance." On Wednesday, detectives searched Furman's home after obtaining a search warrant, Covelli said.

As of Thursday, authorities could not share why they believe Furman's disappearance to be suspicious in nature.
