Police Blotter: Fire Hydrant Stolen; Arrests
The Libertyville Police Department reports arrests and crimes from Aug. 26-30.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.
Alcohol
Bryan P. Carroll, 30, of 1391 Pearson, Green Oaks, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Aug. 30 near Milwaukee Avenue and Ring Drive. He was also cited for not having a valid drivers license, failure to dim headlights and failure to notify Secretary of State of change of address. He was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 11 court date.
Theft
Libertyville Police said that sometime between Aug. 23-26, someone removed a fire hydrant from the Commonwealth Edison right-of-way located about a quarter mile north of Route 176 and a quarter mile west of Butterfield Road. The value of the hydrant is unknown.
Traffic
Ariana K. Otis, 20, of 650 Diamond Pointe Drive, Mundelein, was charged with driving while license suspended Aug. 27 near Route 176 and Butterfield Road. She was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.
Ashley E. Telling, 26, of 2212 Shannondale, Green Oaks, was charged with operating a vehicle with expired registration Aug. 28 near Winchester Road and Route 21. She was also cited for unlawful possession of a registration sticker and unlawful possession of a registration sticker known to have been stolen. She was transported to the Lake County Jail to await a bond hearing.
Julio Cesar Ramos-Miranda, 34, of 13800 Division St. No. 911, Blue Island, was charged with not having a valid drivers license Aug. 29 near Milwaukee Avenue and Route 137. He was also cited for failure to yield from a private drive. He was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 16 court date.
