Pumpkin Smash Composting Event This Saturday In Libertyville

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Adler Pool.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Libertyville Sustain Commission will host its annual pumpkin smash composting event this Saturday.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those stopping out can drop off their pumpkins and gourds in the parking lot at Adler Pool, 1500 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, according to a village of Libertyville news release.

The pumpkins will be composted and you can also bring your own bucket for the compost. Residents may collect up to 20 gallons of compost from the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County to take home.
