Raising Cane's In Vernon Hills: Village Nears Approval Of Project

On April 2, the village's planning and zoning commission recommended approval of the project.

VERNON HILLS, IL — Vernon Hills could soon get the green light to allow Raising Cane's officials to move forward with bringing a news restaurant to town.

On April 2, the village's planning and zoning commission recommended approval of the project. The recommendations comes nearly two years after Raising Cane's first met with village officials regarding opening up in a space once occupied by Jameson's Charhouse at 151 Townline Road, according to the Daily Herald.

Village officials have voiced concerns about traffic flow but now, after a revised traffic study and several design modifications were completed, staff and a village consultant seem on board with bringing the project to fruition. If the project does receive the village's final stamp of approval, construction could get underway early next year, according to the newspaper.
