Trustees Award Bid for Pavement Reconstruction Project

The lowest bid came in at just over $948,451.

Libertyville trustees voted unanimously Tuesday night to award a bid to Glenbrook Excavating & Congrete Inc. for the village's 2013 road reconstruction project.

The bid amount was just over $948,451.

The 2013 road program includes the reconstruction of Seventh Avenue from Glendale Road to Valley Park Drive; Valley Park Drive from Seventh Avenue to Kenwood Avenue; and Sunnyside Avenue from Milwaukee Avenue to Prairie Avenue. The project also includes the public alley within the block bounded by Third Street, East Church Street, Fourth Street and Broadway, according to village board meeting documents.

"The work will involve the installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer replacement, pavement reconstruction, and curb and gutter," according to village staff. "All of these elements will significantly improve these roads as they have been in very poor condition."
