Twelve District 128 Students are National Merit Semi-Finalists

Twelve students from Community High School District 128—including seven from Libertyville High School—have been named 2014 National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists.

According to District 128, about 1.5 million students from 22,000 high schools took the 2012 PSAT/NMSQT. Following that test, 669 Illinois students from 16 high schools qualified as semi-finalists. 

The following LHS students are among those semi-finalists: 

  • Jack Baumruk
  • Heather Legan
  • Timothy Li
  • Joseph Nedland
  • Maxwell Sun
  • Chase Wonderlic
  • Brenda Zanze
These Vernon Hills High School students are also semi-finalists:

  • Russell Blickhan 
  • Katherine Koczwara
  • Alison Skiadas
  • Justin Song
  • Eric Zhang
