Waukegan Bank Robbery Suspect Used Note To Demand Money: Police

Police are looking for a Waukegan bank robbery suspect captured on surveillance cameras.

WAUKEGAN, IL — The Waukegan Police Department is searching for a suspect in a Thursday bank robbery in the 1200 block of Golf Road. According to police, officers were called at 4:30 p.m. to the First Midwest Bank and confirmed when they arrived that the bank had been robbed. According to police, the suspect walked into the bank and up to a teller where he demanded money through a note.

The suspect implied he was armed, but didn't show a gun, according to police, adding that the suspect took money and ran away from the area.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s with a goatee, who is 5'10, 170 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a light blue denim jacket with a dark sweatshirt underneath, and a Chicago Bulls cap.

No one was hurt during the incident, and police said they aren't releasing how much money was stolen.
