Waukegan Woman Stabbed To Death, Coroner Says

The Lake County Coroner's autopsy of the woman on Tuesday said she died as a result of "sharp force trauma."

WAUKEGAN, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office performed an autopsy on 55-year-old Leesa Lovett, of Waukegan, saying she had been stabbed to death.

After the Tuesday, Dec. 4 autopsy, Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper said she "died from injuries caused by sharp force trauma."

Toxicology results are pending, Cooper said, and Waukegan police are still investigating Lovett's death.

“We have notified Ms. Lovett’s family and our deepest condolences go out to them. This is trulyan awful tragedy,” Cooper added.
